# Scheduling & Automations

> Schedule posts and set up automations for consistent content delivery.

## Overview

Once you've connected your social media accounts and created content, you can schedule posts to go live at optimal times. Automations help you maintain a consistent posting schedule without manual work.

## Scheduling Posts

### From Export

After exporting a slideshow:

1. Click **Schedule Post** instead of just downloading
2. Select the connected account to post to
3. Choose a date and time
4. Add a caption (optional)
5. Click **Schedule**

### From Dashboard

Access your scheduling calendar from the dashboard:

1. Go to [Scheduled Posts](https://www.scrollgold.com/home/scheduled)
2. Click **New Scheduled Post**
3. Select the content you want to post
4. Choose account, time, and caption
5. Click **Schedule**

## Best Times to Post

<Tip>
  While optimal times vary by audience, general guidelines for TikTok:

  * **Weekdays**: 7-9 AM, 12-3 PM, 7-9 PM
  * **Weekends**: 9-11 AM, 7-9 PM

## Automations

Automations let you set up rules for automatic posting, removing the need to manually schedule each piece of content.

### Automation Limits by Plan

### Setting Up an Automation

    Navigate to [Settings > Automations](https://www.scrollgold.com/home/settings/automations).

  <Step title="Create New Automation">
    Click **New Automation** and give it a name.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set Trigger">
    Choose what triggers the automation:

    * When new content is created
    * On a schedule (e.g., daily, weekly)
    * When content is tagged with a specific label
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set Action">
    Define what happens:

    * Post to specific account(s)
    * At specific time(s)
    * With specific caption template
  </Step>

  <Step title="Activate">
    Toggle the automation on to start it running.
  </Step>

### Example Automations

    When content is created, automatically schedule it to all connected accounts at different times.

## Managing Scheduled Posts

### View Scheduled Posts

See all your upcoming posts in the [Scheduled Posts](https://www.scrollgold.com/home/scheduled) section. Posts are displayed in a calendar view.

### Edit a Scheduled Post

Click on any scheduled post to:

* Change the scheduled time
* Edit the caption
* Change the target account
* Cancel the post

### Post History

View past posts and their performance in the Post History section. This helps you identify patterns in what works.

## Troubleshooting

    Check if your account connection is still active. Also verify the post didn't fail due to platform content policies.

  <Accordion title="Automation not triggering">
    Make sure the automation is toggled on. Check that your trigger conditions are being met.

    Verify your timezone settings in your account preferences. Posts are scheduled in your local timezone.
